The Verha Wines project

was born in 2022 with the intention of offering to our consumers a fresh daily wines, highly drinkable but always with the expression of our territory and our terroir.

In addition to the purely organoleptic aspect, the project also has a social impact, as the grapes used for this project, which are not owned, come from some farmers neighboring the Elena Fucci estate in the municipality of Barile.

Before Covid, these farmers used to trade these grapes with private individuals mainly from Campania, who bought the precious Vulture grapes to produce their own wine in full “garagiste” style.

During and after Covid these buyers failed and our farmers no longer knew where to sell these grapes. The risk of abandonment of these vineyards has therefore become very great, and after long periods of flattery, it was decided to buy them, support our territory and start this new project.


  • ITEM NAME: VERHA BIANCO 
    DENOMINATION: IGT BASILICATA BIANCO
    WINEMAKER: ELENA FUCCI
    BLEND: 100% Sauvignon Blanc 
    ALC/VOL: 13.5%
    VARIETY: Sauvignon Blanc 100%
    TASTING NOTE: Colour: bright and straw yellow with slightly green shades
    Nose: white and tropical fruit with herbal notes
    Palate: balanced and fresh with a persistent mineral aftertaste
    TERROIR: Volcanic mixed with clay, height: 650 asl, exposition to 
    south/south-east, continental weather (snowy winter, 
    warm summer, overnight temperature range)
    FARMING METHOD Organic not certified with precision farming: all winegrowers 
    respect the environment and cultivate the vineyards based on 
    the trend of the season
    WINEMAKING: Harvest: mid-September on-hands
    Maceration: crio-maceration for 6 hours
    Fermentation: in steel vats & gentle pressing
    Clarification: natural made at 5°C for 1 month 
    Ageing: 2 months in steel vats, refined in bottle for 3 months

  • NAME VERHA: ROSATO 
    DENOMINATION: IGT BASILICATA ROSATO
    WINEMAKER: ELENA FUCCI
    BLEND: Aglianico del Vulture & red grapes from Vulture
    ALC/VOL: 13.5%
    VARIETY: Aglianico 80% Primitivo and other red grape varieties 20%
    TASTING NOTE: Colour: intense and bright pink 
    Nose: young red fruit (cherry) with mineral notes 
    Palate: balanced and fresh with light tannins and mineral 
    aftertaste
    TERROIR: Volcanic mixed with clay, height: 650 asl, exposition to 
    south/south-east, continental weather (snowy winter, 
    warm summer, overnight temperature range)
    FARMING METHOD: Organic not certified with precision farming: all winegrowers 
    respect the environment and cultivate the vineyards based on 
    the trend of the season
    WINEMAKING: Harvest: mid-September on-hands
    Maceration: crio-maceration for 1 day
    Fermentation: in steel vats & gentle pressing
    Clarification: natural made at 5°C for 1 month 
    Ageing: 2 months in steel vats, refined in bottle for 2 months

    DENOMINATION: IGT BASILICATA ROSSO
    WINEMAKER: ELENA FUCCI
    BLEND: Aglianico del Vulture & red grapes from Vulture
    ALC/VOL: 13.5%
    VARIETY: 100% Aglianico
    TASTING NOTE: Colour: ruby red with purple shades 
    Mose: young red fruit with slightly coffee notes  
    Palate: balanced and fresh with right tannins 
    and savoury aftertaste
    TERROIR: Volcanic mixed with clay, height: 650 asl, exposition to 
    south/south-east, continental weather (snowy winter, 
    warm summer, overnight temperature range)
    FARMING METHOD: Organic not certified with precision farming: all winegrowers 
    respect the environment and cultivate the vineyards based on 
    the trend of the season
    WINEMAKING: Harvest: late September on-hands 
    Fermentation: 12 days in steel vats & gentle pressing 
    Ageing: 6 months in steel vats, refined in bottle for 6 months
